Greetings to all...
I have been reading David Ibbetson's excellent book ...
British Artillery Ammunition, Volume 3, Quick Fire Guns.
It raises a few questions relating to cartridge dimensions.
Most entries provide this information but there are a few where presumably such data were unavailable in the records consulted.
It is, however, quite possible that some of the knowledgeable members of this forum can fill in a few gaps.
Either from specimens or rare documents
So i have already asked about the 10 Pr Russian cases...
These are the others where data is missing...
3 inch 4 cwt fixed
3 inch 16 cwt fixed
3 inch 23 cwt fixed
4 inch Mk 6 seperate
4 inch Mk 7 fixed
4 inch Mk 8 fixed
4 inch Mk 9 fixed
Any information gratefully received
Thanks very much
