Unknown 1918 round?

Hello all! A few days ago I bought a few pieces and this was one of them I bought, it’s really struck me as to what it could be? It seems to be a legit military made piece and dated 1918? I’m really quite confused as to what it is!

It’s 39mm in diameter
Drive band high points are 41mm diameter
13.9cm long over all

Any help is greatly appreciated thanks!

I think MINENAZ16 is correct.
The base says 9.2" GUN Mk1X which was a coast gun and battleship gun from the WW1&2 period used by UK.
There were HE, APC and CPC projectiles that weighed around 380lb (172kg).
It definitely looks like a nice model projectile for this gun by the base inscription.
The base is interesting and does look like a primer in the centre. FS is forged steel?

Wow thanks very much all for the ID!! Are these worth much to collectors? I don’t collect around this area so will probably offload it, any help on the going rate is greatly appreciated!!
