    Japanese 47mm Type-1 Headstamp

    Hi, I have this 47mm Type-1 Japanese case and wondered if someone could translate the headstamps (sorry if they are upside down, I haven't got a clue how to put them ). Also, how rare are the shells to come by on this side of the pond? TIA.

    The case has the Nagoya Army Arsenal acceptance stamp of November 1942, and the primer has the Osaka Army Arsenal stamp of April 1942.

    The cases are "not common" so I suspect the projectiles would be in the same category as well or probably rarer - I have only ever seen / found one case in over 40 years and by pure luck spotted it in an antique centre one weekend.

    You almost never find the cases or projectiles in the US.
