Looking for information on codes on Berndorf and Karlsruhe cases

Hello,
here the well know 835 code 75x118 used in 7,5cm M13 L/14 Krupp mountain gun. Is it correct?

Yes, I have this as the 7,5 cm L/14 M1913 mountain gun. Most common code to find together with code 21 and 21II.

Hello
I'm going a little bit off topic, with this post, but what about this 75x118 tapered case, in my archive items from 1899 to 1916...
75x118.jpg75x118 montagne bulgarie krupp 1916.jpg75x118R_case R88mm hs.JPGDSC07708.jpg
for what gun was used?
I know for 7.5cm erhardt mountain gun, later krupp... but seems different gun used this case. for sure 7.5cm mod 04 mountain gun used by swiss and bulgarian

here a drawing used by turkish too

all the best

Tapered case is really different, like code 40 (7,5 cm M1904 in my list). Code 73 is the same case but with Cyrillic text for Bulgaria. Code 40 is used by Turkey and China.

Next week i will find time to go through the collection looking for Karlsruhe and Berndorf cases.
Meanwhile this may be interesting.....

21cm Mörser 18 case ..... 211x410R242
1918

Code 343

Charley, thanks for helping out. The code you show however is no export code. At the start of this thread you see how you can recognize such a code.

I just love these investigations! I think I can now also explain the Cyrillic head stamped case with the same dimensions as the code 40 cases. I believe now that this case is NOT for the 7,5 cm L/14 M1904 Krupp mountain gun (as always referred to) but for the 8 cm L/27 M1873 Krupp field gun. So it is indeed not an export code but 73 is for indication the Krupp gun (the Bulgarian text actually reads Karlsruhe - Friedrich Krupp - 73). My hypothesis on the codes still stands.

Hoeksel .....
Having checked cartridge case headstamps i find that i only have one that fits your criteria for export supply.
It is one you mention as common .... 75x227R x 90
1909 with 21 II

Indeed a common one, export for Belgium with Belgium made primer.

I was informed by fert (thanks!) it is a 22 mm primer (as seen in Austro-Hungarian navy cases), so my new estimate is the rim is ~176 mm. Normally my guess based on the estimate would be a cut down 15 cm L/45 (150x816R178) but due to the smaller primer this is not logical. The shell case that comes closest to my knowledge would be the Austro-Hungarian 15 cm M1912 that measures 150x742R175.

According fert the shell case is however 105 mm.......that does not match the estimated rim diameter at all.

Does anybody have the 15 cm M1912 shell case and if so could you share the head stamp/primer?
