Why would they need this information Tim? A stamp to say that something hasn’t been done. The lack of an A could indicate the same thing, along with a repair contractor monogram. Was there a limit to the no. of times a case could be annealed?
I don't know, maybe a form of "This page is intentionally left blank," if there's nothing there has the operation been carried out or has someone failed to update the case? I have seen nothing regard a limit to annealings and have seen cases that have had numerous annealings.
Annealing cases is a time consuming process so not having to do it would
be a big saving. But the next time the case goes back for repair this would be good
to know as it would likely have to be annealed this time as more repair might make it brittle.
Just my thoughts.
