I thought to add some photos of a couple of trench art 75x129 cases for the Skoda M1915 mountain gun which I have. The style of the trench art indicates their use by Turkish forces in WW1; I think both support the great work put together by Kornel. The 654 marked case is by Berndorf, the same number appears in the list manufactured at Karlsruhe. Both have Austrian made primers, but the 507 marked case has a M14 and the 654 a M15, supporting the concept of changes in primer forcing a different case number to be allocated.
Well done Kornel, great to have an explanation of these numbers.

Thanks for the compliments! Unfortunately, these numbers are LOT numbers and not the numbers under discussion.

Updated, very minor, main change is extended with images of very specific marks found on these cases.

Is somebody willing to donate a shell case number 21, preferably with Turkish primer? Greif donated a number 21 II and we have a professional on board to cut both cases. Idea is to make a cut through and do a detailed comparison with the intention to figure out the difference if any.

Surely it would be better to locate one that had been cut down or made into trench art before cutting it in half.
