    3.7 AA HE Shell

    Hi, Just finished restoring my 3.7 AA HE Shell, the case has original markings still on it so left it as is and dated 1940

    Thanks Womble, The paint is BS381C Middle Buff and I got it from a guy on e-bay he go as autopaint-hudd as for the paint on the band its grass green Humbrol No80 .

    Andy thank you for the info, I thought they were too good to be hand painted, even with a steady hand and no beer the night before I think you would struggle to get them anywhere near as good. I was thinking of trying to cut a sheet of paper and use a paint loaded sponge and dab the paint on through the stencil, I know in some of the factories they used wooden carved letter/symbol blocks with paint on them and rolled the proj across them.
