60 mm WP Smoke M302

There was similarly designated 57 mm HE M303 round.
Some web sources (https://community.battlefront.com/topic/30501-us-57mm-gun-m1-he/page/2/) say that the 57 HE was adopted in 1944.
That is probably the same time as the 60 mm WP mortar as both did not make it to the 1944 edition of TM 9-1901.
Maybe someone can share more info on the 300 series designation, please?

The M302 started out as the T-6. The round in my collection is roll stamped "LOT B.W. 1 1943 60MM T-6", which, I think, is from the first production lot of metal bodies by Borg Warner.
From the Report of the Fiscal Year, 1944-1945, Research and Development Services of the Office of the Chief of Ordnance, the adoption of the 60mm M302 WP round was done 11 January, 1945.
