Here are images from another manual that I rediscovered. I did not know it had a canister round.

I've got four different scanned manuals on the M67.

FM 23-11 - M67 90 mm Recoilless Rifle Manual (1965)
FM 23-11 - M67 90 mm Recoilless Rifle Manual - Change 3 (1970)
TM 9-1015-223-12 HR - 90 mm M67 Recoilless Rifle (1979)
TM 9-1015-223-12 - 90 mm M67 Recoilless Rifle (1985)

The cannister round is mentioned as the XM590E1 in the 1965 and 1970 manuals I have. (The 1979 one has next to nothing in as it just covers the hand receipt, hence the HR in the title.)

It's type classified standard as the M590 in the 1985 manual.

I know these weapons were used as late as the 1983 US invasion of Grenada. They were used to take out three Russian BTR-60 armored personnel carriers.

The canister round is an aluminum can with two layers of flechettes.

The Delta Force has been using the 90mm RR.

There are actually 3 versions/models of the 90mm flechette for the RR. One had an open, reversed taper nose, sort of like a hollow point. The other two were different only in how they were pre-fractured for the dispersal of the flechettes. I'm still looking for the first, here are poor pictures (I'm at work) of the other two.

I just acquired this dummy round. I did not see it listed in the manual.

I do not know about crazy. I bought it as I have never seen any ammunition item for a 90mm recoilless available for purchase before.
