Summer 1945 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8337320/. An ex Dutch Resistance fighter, working for Canadian Occupational Army, is trying to prosecute a Dutch art dealer for selling a Vermeer to Hermann Göring. Based on true events, this masterful story will twist your mind back and forth so you'll never know a friend from a foe. Very well done.

It's about Han van Meegeren, a famous Dutch forger. His aintings were so good forged that even the most reknown specialists were convinced they were real. Even today we do not know if some paintings are real, either a van Meegeren.
Small comfort; a van Meegeren is worth a fortune too by now.

Goring traded a fortune on paintings for a forged vermeer by van Meegeren
