I show an Australian AN 306 Bofors L/60 40mm fuze.
Made by MF in 1985. Filled by MY in 1988. Scarce with stampings as many unmarked ones were released when MF factory closed.
Marked : AN 306 03 MY 11/88 5-MF-85.

The other fuze is marked: FZ 306 M121 173 74 25 . It has a green sealant at the joins and on the nose tip.
This does not look Australian made? I show this fuze in pieces. Note the flat striker tip in the nose.

Here's a 306 I have, made by Munitions Footscray (Melbourne) in 1983. Very interesting fuze developed in Australia in the late 1970s early 1980s. It used very different technology than the usual mechanical devices for arming and delay. The Australian Navy used the 40/60 Bofors until 2006/2007, but the latest manufactured cases and projectiles I've seen are 1992/93.

Can someone fill me in on the M121 marking means on the FZ 306 fuze? I know the 173 is BOFORS, 1974, LOT 25.

This fuze seems to be an Australian made version of a Swedish fuze?
The Swedish fuze is dated 1974. Aussie ones from 1980's. Any info from Sweden is welcome.

AN306A.jpg This shows you the missing part. The fuze is PD, pyrotechnic delay arming
