Can anyone please ID this, manufacturing country, use etc. Arabic markings and the date appears to be 1964, month of June?

Agreed. I've got it in three colors, all with the same marking on top. Mine all have a rubber piece over the pull ring, red or black. Sorry for the photo quality.

Thanks to all, great information as always. So if my dating of the piece is correct I guess it is likely to have been supplied during/for the North Yemen Civil War.
