When were the last full-size 6 Pr 8 cwt cases made?

    Greetings...
Having recently acquired a WW2 6 Pr 8 cwt case i am curious to know
when the UK stopped making and using them.
Apart from saluting use with shortened (248mm) cases, when were the most recent cases made?

These Hotchkiss guns were reused on small gunboats
and MTBs etc. This info from John Campbell's "Naval Weapons of WW2".

20211022_122705.jpgThis case was made by VAEL in 1942 and has the naval "N"

I had a 1939 and 1943 dated case in my collection.
    Ignorance is bliss.
