Rare bit of kit, and predating First War in manufacture. Turn up in UK? Reason I ask is a number of torpedo pistols came on the market a few years years ago, together with depth charge pistols and the like. several of which I managed to acquire. They came out of a store in the UK and all in original boxes and the like.

This is a super nice, early specimen. It is made by, Royal Gun Factory under license from, Whitehead & Co. You can tell it is early as the main rotor is not ported, so it is solely spring driven. I have a similar one dated 1902. Later models incorporated ported air trapping buckets into the rotor and were both spring and compressed air driven. Stunning specimen.
