No.214 fuze

Hi,

A small question on the No.214 fuze:
All No.214 fuzes I have seen so far are made by WC - Waterbury Clock Co. of Connecticut, US (If I'm not very much mistaken)
Does anyone have any information regarding the production of these fuzes?
Were any of them made in the UK or was all production done overseas?

Thanks in advance,

Thomas.

Weren’t they a 208 or 211 (naval) fuze in the UK, or am I getting confused with another fuze? The 214 designation was to signify that it was made in the US (with perhaps small manufacturing or metal differences).

Just looked it up. It is the US made version of the British 208, but it used the Junghams clockwork mechanism.

I've just looked at my No. 214 and can't see/find a maker's mark - has anyone any info on what it is? Depotman

Do you have any pictures?
I will show mine in a few days once I've moved my collection to a new home.
