Anyone know what this is for?
The projectile is 14,5mm in diameter, and the cartridges case is 51mm.
On the cartridge is stamped DP-FUZE CHARGE-3 LOT DAG-75-2
in the Bottom is stamped: DAG 14,5x51

Anyone?

Many-many variations of this cartridge as it was used by a variety of countries in subcaliber guns for a large number of weapons, to include mortars.

Here are 14,5x51R cartridges used by the german Bundeswehr.

I have a nice Sth African Collectors journal somewhere that had at least 6 pages on these sub-cals in 20 & 51mm case lengths from all countries with tip colours.
Naturally my filing system cannot find it to give the year of issue. No doubt other associations have articles on them too.

Thank you very much everbody, just the information I needed.

Best

This cartridge is in RSA issue No 230 2009. 4 pages and also 10 pages of the 14.5x20R. Editor is Will Reuter.
I should not reproduce the articles without permission.
Also info on the IAA forum about similar coloured tips. All nice items to own.

I am preparing a posting depicting the technical differences in the cartridges.
