WW2 German 7.5cm leichtes infanteriegeschutz round

I thought to post a few pictures for interest of a 7.5cm le IG 18 round in my collection. It has definitely been pulled together from component parts, the cartridge case is 1930s, but the projectile is older. What is less common to see is the charge cap and the propellant increment paper identification.

...but the projectile is older.

The opposite is the case. The projectile with iron driving band is war-time production. A projectile with a date near to the case date would have been a copper band and a brass fuze.

Sorry Alpini, you are quite correct, I meant to say the projectile is not as old! DOH, poor use of English!
I think the projectile is 1943, the same date as on the fuze. Out of interest pictured is a brass fuze which appears to be from the same type of projectile, I have never really understood the designator stamped on the brass version.

One of my favourite! thanks for posting and nice pictures. I find many fuse parts from these projectiles as there were 2 of these weapons above the beach where I detect, I have also found 2 complete live projectiles which EOD dealt with. I have the steel collar and fuse from after one of the detonations (safe and FFE) not in bad condition but my collection is packed away at present due to a horrible DIY project I am starting one!
