Pretty ruff shape for a, ID, but if there was a clear photo of its gyro assembly, I could possibly be of help?

Jason

There is no gyro, only air tank and part of engine. When we clean it we may find marks. The air tank is 3m long and the engine 4 cylinders without shaft and propeller. 50 cm. in the torpedo museum we have 20 different torpedoes and this is unknown to us.

Really don't know designation of this ordnance but could it be an underwater bottom influence mine ? Different from German TMB and TMC but could be a line of search.

The torpedo is missing the aftsection, which would make an Id much easier.

It's hard to be sure, but here are all the german 50 cm wet-heater torpedoes, which all are valid candidates:
* Operational from ca 1905: G/7 (the first 50cm torpedo, with later variants/improved versions G/7 AV and G/7**)
* Operational from ca 1925: G/7s (improved max speed and increased airpressure)
* Operational from ca 1926: G7v (increased airpressure, new design of the engine - in particular the in-/outlet valves and valvesteering)
* Operational from ca 1928: G7v* (new airtank to handle increased pressure to 200 ato)

The engine looks very similar to the G7V, but so does any wet-heater from the same time, regardless of nationality. Found any letters/words anywhere?
