Was looking through some old 1916 "Chums" magazines today and spotted an advert for Gamages toy shop in London.
Knowing some of you collect toy cannons etc i thought i would share them with you.

Allan,
I have a side request. When I was little, in the USSR, I had a lot of neat European toys brought to me by my Belgian and American relatives. There were IIWW German plastic soldiers with removable helmets and guns, interchangable hands and body positions. I don't want to own them again but I wanted to see images of them on internet, just to see. Also I had a lot of Corgi toy cars, they were about 10cm long. They still said "Made in England". So I am talking about mid to late 1960's. I couldn't find any images online. The only one I found was French Auroch vehicle with little divers in black suits. If you see any of these Corgi toy cars or soldiers, send me a link, please.

I think the soldiers about which you speak are Timpo. They have interchangeable heads and bodies, weapons etc.
