    American 76mm ?

    It's not mine, but what exactly is this -
    Over all length 31 1/2" , the only markings
    are those shown.

    US 76mm (3in) AP-T (shot) M79 could be a good candidate.

    Yeah, what Minenaz16 said. For the 3 inch gun on the M10 Tank destroyer and the 3 inch mobile AAA guns.

    It's designated a 3 inch round, even though it's also 76mm. A fairly rare steel case.
