    Old Vic de Mayo holster

    What is the function of the metallic piece inside? It says Vic de Mayo's, Yonkers, N.Y.

    I think its a spring loaded button that pops into the trigger guard to hold the pistol in place

    Any Live or Dug ordnance shown by me has been disposed of by military EOD personnel .
