Hello,

I have this rocket repainted green (not original paint) with remnants of original yellow paint (so made before the end of 1942)
This is an early wersion of 2.36in M6 with rivets beneath the fuze.
I know the early model with contact ring on the nose with rivets (picture 1).
Several questions (because we find sometimes these rockets in France and often confused with M6A1) :

1- Did these early rockets with nose contact came in Europe ?
2- If not is there an intermediate model (before A1) also with rivets ?
3- Is there a diagram of early models available ?
4- Were M6A1 also first produced in Yellow ?

Early model with contact switch on nose (I assume with rivets) :

This is how you tell of a early rocket with the large domed rivets, been trying to get one of these for a while, there are some really close up picture on the U.S military forum showing the banding on the nose. These were first used during the North African landings Operation Torch. The bazooka round had to be kept in its shipping container right up to loading as the banding on the rocket was prone to come off, so eventually it was altered as with the launchers, not sent back to the factories but as a field alteration.
