Just recived this, price was fine, shipping Awful:tinysmile_cry_t:
Covered in some kind of black paint. Once removed as
best I could without going back to metal I have either
buggered mustard yellow or rusty white for drill -
Markings as best I can make them out, not brilliantly
stamped.

Looking for a No 117 fuze dated late 41 or early 42. I can trade a mint No119 if
neccessary. Unfortunately you likely have to be in Canada to send it to me ---

Great find Gordon! That’s a very late manufacture date for one of these - possibly why it survived. Doesn’t appear to have any marks signifying Canadian made? The AG 0060 would be the steel supplier and batch. IC is the projectile mark. FS for forged steel. Presumably the maker code is LA, and 101 the lot no. Colour looks like faded Middle Buff (BS381C No. 359) which was a straw/mustard yellow.

I think all of these were brought in. I have had the shipping boxes and they are all British if I recall.
Would be posted on site some where-

Fuze ? either unfinished or threads removed for some kind of non military use being placed into something ? ??

Found in an outside and disused toilet I seem to remember, still has the original but stained paint.

LA - I should have remebered that as I have a late war 12Pr by them also. I was offered a 1939 No 117 fuze for $225 Cdn. I think that is a bit stiff ~
But I'm willing to be corrected ~ :tinysmile_cry_t:

That would be a fair price, even on the cheapish side for a 117 fuze in good condition in Australia. I wouldn’t hesitate at that price if I needed one. Perfectly age related too.
