the German SD2 butterfly bomb had two types of fitting Bayonet and Screw , pictures attached of both types
The SD2 A the fuze is screwed into the bomb
and the SD2 b its a bayonet fitting held in place with two steel clips shown flat
Pictures shown show the (41) fuze

Hello

I took these pictures in England 10 years ago already.
At the time, I did not pay attention to the bizarre side of the fuze.
The device on top, with the spring is abnormal.
But it doesn't resemble any known model n41, 67 or 70.
Have you an idea ?
Sorry, I have only these two views.

Thank you

Hi Tarbelin
Can you remember where you took these pictures , it might help ?

At first glance i thought that they were Ameican M130 fuzes for their SD2 copy the M83 , but the more i look at these i think they are the bodies of the German butterfly bomb fuzes and are experimental fuzes , for what purpose nobody knows

Hi looks like the fuze for the kettenbombe.
Experimental fuze.

I was looking through past posts when I came across this. I may be able to shed new light on the identification of this fuze. See the thumbnail below. I believe it to be a type 67/v minus its outer casing (which would have resembled the z 17bm. fuze)

HPIM4802.jpg

This fuze was a 67 fuze that had been modified (notice the shoulder that would have held the steel spring clip in the original 67 fuze has been ground down in the original photograph)
The fuze was used in the Mk AB 70 container to ignite candle units within the container. Could also be used in any H.E. bomb with standard fuze pocket as a delay action fuze.

Hi Steve,
I would be interested to know if there are any markings on the top of this particular fuze. I'm pretty certain that it is a (67)v, but confirmation would be great.
