    American M83 fuzes

Following on from my thread on the German SD2 butterfly bomb fuzes i thought i would share with you the American M83 Butterfly bomb fuzes
For a start the American fuzes are much bigger than their German counterparts , also the M83 was 4 Lb in weight , the German SD2 was 4.4 Lbs (2Kg)
The American M130 See R hand fuze picture 1 is a straight impact fuze same as the German (41) A but the M130 is screw threaded not Bayonet fit as the German one is.

The M128 See L hand Picture 2 is switchable either AZ percussion (instant ) or Zeit with slight delay both are threaded fit

The first picture shows the size variations of the American and USA fuzes

    Hello Steve.
Figured I'd help out a bit on this one...Here's a few pics of the M129.
It's a threaded, switchable air/ground type. I took it apart to see what makes it tick.
    Cheers ! Charlie
