value? any ideas?

This was another gift from relatives in Belgium.
It was emptied and made safe ater being found near my sisters house.
Would have been one of the millions that failed to initiate,that are still just under the surface.

18 Pounder with n0 2 gaine,inside dated 1916.

Just shows you how dangerous these things still are,on the outside it can appear to be a rusted lump of harmless debris and inside its pristine,waiting to kill some tourist, daft enough to pick it up.

The last paragraph very important !

Hi 18Pounder, nice item, and how unusual to find one with all the fuze parts still with it, thanks for the pictures very interesting.
And as you say it is well worth remembering that any old rusty items MUST ALWAYS BE TREATED AS LIVE !
