That looks like a nice M35 german helmet Waff correct me if its the later model.
Militaria.net sell a really nice reversable oak leaf/winter cover for these helmets.

Cheers DAZ

Here's my luftwaffe flying helmet that arrived today, if anyone can give me any info it would be great I only know its a summer helmet without integral radio equipment , it has the original makers label and pilots name inside.
Also this great but cheap display head came today as well and makes such a difference bringing to life headgear, this one has a wider more stable base than most ive seen and it has wrinkles as well and looks more brutish.
If anyone wants one of these display heads contact me and i'll put you onto the seller they work out roughly just under a tenner inc p+p and are a medium size.

Where to get display heads from

I got my display heads from this seller on ebay they came well packaged and quickly and are the sturdiest ones available tho I have not tried a steel helm yet on one I think it would easily take one.

The seller has a shop on ebay and the shop name is

Xtacee_2004 MANNEQUINS AND MORE

M42 helmet

Hi spotter,
that 42 is looking really nice well done, i know they are not easy to restore. the net sets it off well .
dave

Ouch theres some painful looking helmets in your collection (well at least to the original owners that is).
Excellent stuff and capped off with two WW1 germans at the end.

Thats a great stand made from grenades!.

The right hand lid has some blue paint underneath, whats the sketch with that?

I had some toy german soldats when i was a nipper and i recall the uniforms were a light blue?
Have asked for answers in other forums but never had an answer?
I have in my collection a gas mask again with blue paint?

cheers

Daz,
Ive found and resized these pictures of my Luftwaffe Flying Helmet.
They are displayed with the goggles i bought from ebay.
A quality helmet as it still has the throat mike and plug in adaptor which you usually find has been cut off.
cheers

W.W.2 helmets

Hi Waff,
the blue you see on the helmet is the undercoating, when they were making them they had to be baked at various points of prodution.
Most German helmets will have the undercoat, I have had this one for about thirty years and have polished it over the years, it had some knocks
in the paint but they just showed out blue. hope this helps.
I do have others but dont know if i should show them.
Dave.
