Hello,

I begin this post about french time fuzes wich were used during the Great War. I you have such fuzes, I will be happy for seen them.

First, an old 30/38 mm model 1884 T :

And a nice drawing from a handwritten french manual (Artillerie school of Chateaudun) :

Regards,
Stephan

A very common fuze : 22/31 mm model 1897 for 75 mm projectiles (schrapnell).

The same fuze, mounted on shrapnell warhead :

Cutaways.

Those are very nice,we dont see much early stuff on here. These are obviously army training items? Thanks for posting them.Tony.

Modern!

These are excellent. Did you do these yourself ? Great to see some french stuff on this forum. Do you have any any 75mm gas shells and fuses to show? Thanks Tony..

Hi,
I'm not talented enough to make these cuts myself !

I don't have toxic shells but I have some fuzes which were used for.
But, unlike Germans, French doesn't have specific fuzes for gas or toxic shells and these fuzes can be found on explosives shells. It was often percussion fuzes (without delay). I will show few of these today (I have to do pics !).

Hi Richard,
Very nice fuzes !
I like your I.A.Lefvre Mle 16.

I have the same but 1915 model and sectioned (I ever don't have made pics !).
Here is a sketch :

Stephan

For those who like these sectioned fuzes, I add few percussion fuzes.

A 24/31 mm Mle 1899-1908 (Robin system), which was in used during WWI (for explosive 75 mm). You can see the same on the pics of DICKAREN.

Hello,

Hello,

Beautiful collection of fuses you have. I wonder if you could tell me what the fuse is second from the left.

Many thanks
