    3 Pdr MK IV

Apologies for the vague picture, can anybody tell me what loading this case would have contained? Proof or plate test,or practice? The case is dated 1941 and manufactured by ICI,the primer is stamped 1990 and filled by Chorley. I have only ever encountered WW2 dated Naval cases manufactured by ICI, never land service. Did ICI only make Naval items?Cheers Tony.

    Howdy tigbrand,

What is the overall length of the case, or better still a side on pic of it please?

Having a 1990 dated primer makes me think it may have been used as a saluting blank, but these were generally made from cut down 3pdr carts.

    Regards Ozzi.
