    German 77mm

    Hi i am doing up a WW1 German 77 shrapnel round i know the colour is blue/gray but what stencils would they have had on them could anybody help

    So, it is the 7.7 with fuze Dopp Z 96 ?

    Yes, I can remember i saw one, one day in a museum. But i'm sorry : I'm not sure about the colour (perharps grey.. like a little mouse)

    hi

    As I undestand, "St." mean steel bullet. If there are lead bullets, I think there is no letters.

    Some really useful information on this thread. With regard to Pascal's pic, 18th Jan, 2009, does anybody know what the white band signifies? I recall having seen another photo of a 77 similarly marked.
