    Mystery British Rifle Grenade

Hi all, I picked this rifle grenade up at a local gunshow. It has been spray-painted blue so there are no markings on it aside from for electric pencil numbers in the det pocket. It has been "EOD'd", - drilled at the base of the cone (it is filled with wood) so I know it is safe. I just don't know what it is. Any ideas out there?

    Cheers,

    Greg

    Hi Greg,

Your grenade looks to be a No 94 drill grenade, similar to the white one in the photo. These were used to teach new recruits how to handle and prime the grenades. The black one in the photo is used for target practice and the green one is an HE Super Energa. Cheers Colin

Hi Paul, I used sandpaper P30 (very coarse) and painted it black afterward.
    Regards DJH

Ps: use a fine saw, not the normal hacksaw (Iy's too coarse).

Thanks guys, I had forgotten about Darryl's website. The tail fins had me confused.
