    Aiming instrument of what weapon?

Maybe I'll get my answer here at BOCN.
Again an item from the field.

It looks like a part from a weapon, and has a broad arrow marking.
I have no idea. It's made of brass and has small remains of green paint.
    Who knows??

    Hi Spotter,

    still have no idea...
Guess I'll leave it in the un-ID basket, maybe I'll find out when I'm 60.

    Cheers,
    Lex

Is it part of a mortar launcher set up?
