I first used Evaporust on a 1930's Arcade castiron toy that I had got for my father. Had nickel wheels and what I thought was about 50% original paint. I let it sit for 2 days and rinsed it. No damage to the paint or nickeling. As a matter of fact, the original paint was closer to 80%. Since then I have used it on several WWI grenade cans with great success
here are some pictures of German cluster bomb AB 250-2 for 40 SD4HL.
This is my greatest restoration project till now and finally ready for exhibit. Starting point for the restoring SD 4 HL are in a picture where the two boxes are showed with the contents. All bombs were in three peaces: base, top and tail, and all this parts are match again. Frame up the body parts where quit difficult because connecting coils are damaged on the strength of detonation.
All extant wood parts for supporting the bombs are original.
Amazing restoration.........well done Endel that looks really impressive. Looks like you spent a lot of time on that one, nice original wood too -fantastic!!!!!
regards Kev
Very nice work on the 2cm mags and box,a moron on war relics got his son to tear apart a 2cm case with a trowel because he believed it wasn't worth anything, glad the guys on here have enough brains to protect rather than destroy
Some new projects are done. Here is the pictures of project of Wurfrahmen 40. I've got some deformed metal parts and as i know the wooden frames are quit rare, so i decided to reconstruct some of them. Lot of research and i spent unexpected time for a work.
So, lets go on with German air bombs. Some metal parts found from the stone heap on the field. Two German abwurfbehälter, one was fallen down on the nose and the other one was burned I think.
