    Re:Sea mine clock

It almost looks like the clock doesnt fit properly onto the fuze?

was all this inside the sea-mine then?,i imagined my fuze clamped to the outside of the mine.

    cheers

    Hi Waff
The whole unit slides into the mine, the outside which holds the soluble tablet is on the outside, not shown in picture, which when dissolved allows the clock to start running.
All the numbers match the clock the clicker unit and the base plate.
This item was aquired several years ago, hense the dust on it sorry about that, the only thing missing is the clicker cover , which looks like a bike bell.

Hi, Just a quick question to do with mines, but not directly linked to your topic, why do you always see German mine horns for sale but never British? Are the German ones for sale all ww2 issue and genuine?Tony.
    Always seeking British flares.

    Re:Sea mine clock

    excellent pics and info Fuzeman!

Good question Tig,everyone that ive seen is made from lead and is 3-letter maker stamped around the base.
i would have thought an odd thing to fake as they are quite cheap to buy.

Has anyone seen a Brit one?

    cheers
