    How does a full one like that end up in the ground?
    I can only imagine them hastily buried at the end of the war?

    was it a type 9 ELAZ fuze used to open those canisters?

    That has got to be the best picture of EOD recovered ordnance i have ever seen,bar none.Excellent post indeed.Tony.

    Hi,

    The Fuze was a 59 or 79 with a 69 on the side.
    Bomb is smaller then the AB23 the AB23 holds 50 SD1.

    Mad write a book full of these type of photos please I would buy it .
    Also I have seen a couple of sd1's for sale cheaply recently can anyone give me any info on them before I buy one .
