1943 U.S 105MM M2 Howitzer

Just finished the restoration of a 1943 M2 105mm Howitzer which I imported from Greece in January.
The gun had been savagely de-milled by the Greeks with allot of unecessary damage, the gun has been totally stripped down repaired and rebuilt.
Due to the shortage of these guns in private hand especially in the U.K I have been having trouble locating various spares and equipment so there are still bits to do, the search for parts continues.

Wow !

You really wouldn't know that the before and after pictures were of the same gun !
Amaxing restoration work Rob, extremely well done and good luck in your search for those elusive parts.

1943 US 105MM Howitzer

The restoration has taken 4 months of evenings and weekends, and it became very laborious at times but the end product is always the aim.
I am searching for the two sight assemblies that mount either side of the breech ring ,I may repair the panoramic mount but the M4 quadrant mount has been smashed with a lump hammer so all of the knobs and dials are missing.
Also looking for the Guns tools etc.
