DAC 1916 PROOF

A great headstamp, a shame it has been made into a drill round. As the replies stated on the IAA forum to this, it is quite common for dril rounds to be made from re-claimed or defective cases, irrespective of the original headstamp. To use a proof case is unusual, but not unheard of. I have a Drill Mark III (red round nosed wood bullet) from around the 1905 -1910 period made from an R^L Proof case.

Also. I think these Canadian drill rounds were made later than the date suggests, possibly as late as WW2.
