    modern russian mortar shell

    hi
    i seek information on the russian mortar shell 240 mm system "krasnopol", pictures, cutaway, drawing,
    thanks in advance
    Any live or dug ordnance shown in my posts has been dealt with accordingly by EOD personel

    thank you for the infos, but what I research relate to a projectile of mortar with laser guidance (like the artillery projectile of 152 mm, called KRASNOPOl)
    Any live or dug ordnance shown in my posts has been dealt with accordingly by EOD personel

    It is not the krasnopol but the smelchak. hereby a link sorry could'nt find anything better.

    Krasnopol vs Smelchek

    How, how, how !
    "Krasnopol" is the general name of a laser-guided system for heavy artillery ammunition.
    "Smelchek" is the name of the 240 mm mortar equiped with the "Krasnopol" system.
    Any live or dug ordnance presented by me has been disposed of by EOD technicians.

    Krasnopol system

    You can also find the following artillery shells :

    155 mm HE called Krasnopol-M
    122 mm HE called Kitolov-2M
    152 mm HE called Santimetr 3OF38
    Any live or dug ordnance presented by me has been disposed of by EOD technicians.

    This is about the best I can do with the limitations on photo size. These are the only photos I was able to take, I was on location to look at other things, and the escorts were getting a little testy when I was photographing to much modern stuff.

    You might be able to find more pictures and minor tech data in Russia's Arms or one of the related export books.
