not a bomb ,but the right shape!

,pre-ww2 - 1950's aerial smoke float .

nice original paint.

How was the smoke compound initiated exactly, did it have a water sensitive fuse? Tig.

There wa a tail pistol fitted to the smoke float , which functions on hitting the water, depending on what type it is but was if British we used the No23 tail pistol, burning time was approx 6 mins
