Picked up this box yesterday at Detling , a nice box B167 marked for 2" smoke mortar rounds , even still with some packing labels in the lid ,Spotter thought id lost the plot but then discovered it was a good place for his purchases ,i will forgive you Allan i hope you have been enlightened . First set of pics are before , second after a good clean Dave

After a good clean with a repro carrier and a 2"smoke round ,Dave

Hi Dave,

Your B167 and the 2 inch mortar display look great. Did you create this yourself? I would like to have a similar display.

I have about 12 of the B167's and about the same number of the bigger B166's and am hoping to get dummy PIAT rounds for those
I also have 15 of the wooden WAECO boxes which I think took 6 x 36 grenades.

I do a bit of living history using my Fordson WOT2 as a re-supply unit.

Hi Barrie i bought the carrier also at Detling yesterday it was quite expensive [50] but i have thought about making some but have always got stuck on how to produce the tin end caps ,the rest of the bits i can source ..The carrier came from www.solomonadler.com whos British agent is Battle Dress and Bayonet .com ,hope this helps ,Dave

Hi Barrie ive e-mailed the site and asked about wether they produce 3" mortar and PIAT carriers this evening ,i will let you know the result and if i make some myself i will also let you know regards Dave
