Hi. That's a nice set of fuzes you have there.

I recently bought an ElZtZ 59B, which seems to be in good condition because both plungers move freely against their springs and the screw selector works. I am wondering if it is sensible to try to take it apart and have a look inside. Although there is probably not much to see - according to 'German Explosive Ordnance' just some simple wiring and two pyrotechnic time rings. It would mean breaking the seal at the bottom. Have you tried?

Tony.

Hi Tony
The construction of that type of fuze , makes it difficult to strip down, it looks from your picture that there is a slight dent , on the bottom , which if its not perfect will not allow you to unscrew easily. therefore i would leave it alone as its in nice condition.
