Hello all

came across this in an antique shop for 8.

Its a double effect (percussion and timed) number 80 fuze.

Before i bought it,i checked to see if it came apart and it did and even more surprized to see it complete with shutters intact and pristine threads.

It even has the rubber like seals present between some of the parts.

I dont think ive done bad have I?

Beautiful Fuze 18pounder, off hand i'd say you've done quite well....Dano
According to passion compassion this fuze was first used on
13pdr field guns (3 inches - 76mm)
18pdr field guns (3.3 inches -84mm)
Afterward they were adopted for shrapnel shells of the
10pdr and 2.7-in mountain guns 2.75 inches - 70mm)
2.95 in mountain guns (2.95 inches - 75mm)
15pdr field guns (3 inches - 76mm)
Designed by Krupp - Vickers paid Krupp 40.000 in royalities after the war
