Another rarity that is fortunately well documented.

This is a solid brass dummy round as illustrated on page 316 of "British Small Arms Ammunition 1864-1938" by P. Labbett.

A couple of solid brass dummy rounds are shown. The one with the skirted Gerlich based projectile has flanges that are about 17.5 mm in diameter squeezing down to about 13.5mm. The one I have is the other profile, possibly a practice version? It dates from the 1930's.

If anyone has any further information I'd be interested in hearing from you.

INERT of course as its solid brass.
