I got inert croatian mortar shell 82 mm M74A1.It is rusty and in very bad condition, and I would like to restorate it so I need good photos of that mortar shell, especially photos of markings on that shell....I found just this photo on the net:

M74 IS THIRD MORTAR SHELL FROM THE LEFT SIDE ON THE PHOTO ABOVE..does any of you have it's better pics?

Where these examples in you picture manufactured for Army of Yugoslavia, or did you creat your own mortar shells?

All mortar shells on my picture are produce of croatian military industry, that means that they were produced after 1991(after collapse of SFR Yugoslavia) for croatian army.
They are copies of yugoslavian made mortar shells, actually first, second, third and fifth mortar shell on my picture are croatian made copies of yugoslavian pre-war made mortar shells, other are croatian designation.
They are all war produced, and some of them copied from yugoslavian mortar shells were very poor copy, and they caused many accidents amongst croatian troops during the war.
The reason is that during the war, detail testing was not made on that croatian made mortar shells.

My inert M74 shell is also croatian made, and it's croatian copy of yugoslavian pre-war M74 mortar shell. That's why I need pics of croatian made M74 because I want to restore it with original markings, not yugoslavian,pre-war markings.

I'm failry sure I have pics of an M74P1 but I'm not sure of the date or if it's Croat. I'll check tonight.

Ok here are 2 different 82mm mortars so you can see the difference in the markings.

The first is the M68P1 marked with latin markings.

The second is the M74P1 marked with cyrlic.

Thanks Yodamaster:wink:!!!
On your pics is serbian made M74,made by the factory KV(in cyrillic KB),what is acronym for the factory Krušik from the city of Valjevo in Serbia.
My croatian M74 was made by the factory Rapid from the city Virovitica in Croatia.
Tail section is missing on my M74,so can I use tail section from M68P1 mortar shell? Are dimensions and number of fins the same?

82 mm M64P1

How goran,
what I can see, the tails are not same. Tail of M64 is a little shorter and the fins are not the same.

Hi,

I think the question is about the "T" located after M68P1. Obviously, as TNT is already marked above, it might not be a repeat
