Deathwatch

A blood curtling WW1 movie in the sci-fi genre. Good equipment and a truly scary story. Excellent flick.. 2 thumbs up...Dano
There is a scene in which a British soldier is holding a mills bomb in one hand and a German stick in the other and asks one of his mates which is better? He replies the stick is probably better for limb removal but our pineapples still make a fine salad!!!!

Dano,

Is it the type of movie that you just cannot put away? Do have it in DVD or VHS?

Also, that reply does sound like the one you'd get from the fields if asked.

Great Movie! Have seen it a dozen or more times.

There were a few inaccuracies...
The major screw-up was using a Lee Enfield No.4 Mk1 in a WW1 movie.

Has anyone spotted others?

Mark, Have it on DVD and Brad never spotted a belt hook on any of the potato mashers. Did not notice the rifle screw up...Dano

Great movie. I had it on DVD and lost it during my last move. Cheers for reminding me, I'll get it again. Nice to see a Kukri in use too.

not bad, its strange seeing Billy Elliot in army uniform........Any one watched Outpost? Set modern day mercenaries and nazi zombies!!!! Actually not a bad movie :tinysmile_classes_t

What about Dead snow, sadly it's subtitles (it's Norwegian), but lets face it with zombies you dont need English!

I'm looking forward to Iron Sky:

I didn't really like the trench. I have just about had enough of that bloody Londener kid and his acting.
The Bunker. I really enjoyed that fim

The old 1930's version of All Quiet on the Western Front is great, but the remake in the late 70's with Ernest Borgnine and John Boy Walton totally sucks. The equipment is BAD right down to the plastic German helmets and the acting worse. Do love the old one though and have it on DVD.....Dano
