Hi
German airplane bomb Fuze WW1
BocnLink : http://www.bocn.co.uk/vbforum/ww1-ge....html?p=143910
Hi All,
I'm trying to ID a German fuse - the markings do not match any of my information on WW1 & WW2 fuse, which is mainly artillery focus.
I'm thinking it could be a naval related bomb fuse or an aerial bomb one (the stamp looks like a "propeller)
Markings:
"Sp F 175 " on brass body
"D" on nose
"C" "B" "A" on body
All thoughts welcome on vintage and function.
Thanks
Cheers
Drew
(Yes I did google "Sp F" etc)

Hey Drew! Here the bomb and the fuze as cut!!!! Harry
Search always English and US Bomb Fuzes!
Kz11 / Harry,
Gentlemen, thank you very much for the information!!!
The fuse in the link that Kz11 provided was all brass, whereas the one shown is composite of both brass and alloy - which I would say be late WW1 when Germany was starting to run low on resources.
Ho Humm, I better go and buy some more "study" books!
Cheers
Drew
Hi Drew,
There's at least 1 other of these fuzes in Australia!
Thanks to your thread I have been able to identify this nice fuze for Ron.
We think the "17" on this one is for 1917. The cap is a nice accessory.
Cheers, Graeme
Hi Graeme,
Hum, I was wondering where the "twin brother" went....................
Ron finds all the good stuff! :-(
Very nice - yes not many in Oz
Cheers

This came to Ron via a very well known Melbourne collector of German ordnance.
