    hoist

    Well ,bomb related!
    A US Navy portable bomb hoist.
    Not sure if it works but seems reasonably complete.
    Maybe ideal for the Bombatorium

    I've seen these in photos in books and always wondered about them. Hopefully it will be in working order. Thanks for posting.

    Didn't see this when it was posted, very cool piece. For now I'm using a 2-ton engine hoist, seems to work pretty well, but on the larger bombs my arm length is pretty limited. I've got some mobile racks made up now, so hopefully I can soon put it to use.
    All dug or live ordnance shown in my posts is under EOD control and has been or will be dealt with accordingly by EOD personnel
