    .45 acp blank

    Hi to all,
found this .45" ACP blank quiet intresting, headstamped K 66 L5A3,as by 1966 we had the Sterling SMG and the Browning pistol both in 9mm in general use.
Did we still have Thompsons and Colts still in use/reserve at this late date? or could it have another use by then ie igniter?

    Cheers
    Tony

    45 ACP Blank

AFAIK these were only made from cut down 7.62mm tracer cases for film use. I had a box of them at one time and it was a typical commercial Kynoch label for a special order, black printing on white paper.

Many thanks TonyE,yes you can see it when comparing it with a Kynoch 7.62mm tracer.

    Cheers
