    Unknown French F1 Grenade Fuse

    Not sure what type of fuse this is. There is a threaded hole in the bottom that I assume was for a fill plug. There is an inscription around the fuse that reads:
    "- N. Dardenne Souvenir d'un vieux soldut de front - 12 mars 1916 -"

    it's not a grenade fuze, for me it's a "trench art"

    I've seen these before. A souvenir cap was screwed on an empty F1 body and sold as a war souvenir. Really cool piece.......Dano
