    8 IN Cast

    Does anybody have any info on this Plaster Cast 8 In

    its iron with Cast Plaster written on it. The fuze well is what is throwing me off.

    The cup at the bottom is throwing me off. If it was 5" I'd say it was a early 5" warhead for the aircraft rocket, which would make the fuze well plug seem more to proportion. Any more pix? Regards, Bruce.

    Agreed. 5-inch Zuni warhead. The plug is a typical rocket nose plug. If you look at the box it takes two and has rope handles. Nobody I've ever met is picking up two 8-inch by hand.

    I'm thinking the 8.0 is the number of pounds of inert plaster filler. Also thinking it could be older and be for the 5 inch HIVAR.

    I've got a Zuni with the same nose plug, but a better piocture would help.
